We are pleased to announce the next event from Shake, Battle & Roll! The new name for Stabcon South, the same board games and general geekery weekend you know and love!

Join us for our usual combination of Board Games, Role Playing Games, CCGs, LCGs, Social/Party Games and all other related silliness. The hotel has loads of space and free parking.
Come along, play games and have fun. Bring your favourites games, but don’t worry if you don’t as there is a huge variety of games in our extensive board games library as well as lots of games for you to join. We’re open from 11am on Friday till 11pm on Sunday so that’s a whole 60 hours of gaming!

Looking to plan your event? We’ve prepared the guide below to help you.

Opening Times 

Doors open at 11:00 on Friday and close at 23:00 on Sunday. If you have a weekend ticket, once you’ve bought or picked up your wristband, you’re free to come and go as much as you like between those times. If you have a day ticket, it’s valid from our reception opening (11:00 on Friday and 09:00 on Saturday & Sunday), until opening of the following day (or closing at 23:00 on Sunday).

Entry

If you’ve pre-booked your wristband will be waiting for you on the door. Standard weekend entry is £15, Children under 14 are £7.50, Children under 6 are free. All under 18s must be fully supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Tables and Games

Tables are open to all on an ad-hoc basis, unless otherwise labelled. Please just grab an empty table and start playing. If you are having problems finding a table please ask at our reception. Games are similarly ad-hoc, just organise amongst yourselves, and grab anyone who looks lost to join you if needed. In the reception there is a game signup board where you can organise and join games at specific times.

It’s free to borrow games from our Library, we just ask that you take care of our games and return them once you are done with them. You can find our list of our games here.

ParkingParking at the hotel is free! However, you will need to register your car at the terminal in reception once every day (Midnight to Midnight). Please note this means that if you leave after midnight you will need to register it again before you leave.

Food and Drink

The hotel are providing us with a set discounted menu of lunch and dinner items which will be available to order throughout the day in addition to their normal menu. There will also be a snack bar in the lobby during the day on Saturday and Sunday, providing the likes of bacon rolls, egg roles and hot dogs. The main bar is open till Midnight for cash or card, after which guests who have a card associated with their room will be able to order drinks and a limited selection of food. Nearby there is a fuel station that has a range of snacks and drinks, and there is an Asda a short drive away. There are also several takeaway delivery services that will deliver to the hotel.
